On March 27 – 29, 2008, the ‘Leasing Forum 2008: Russia, Ukraine and CIS’ annual international event was held in Rome with OAO VTB-Leasing as a sponsor. Over 150 delegates took part in the forum, including heads of leasing companies and associations, representatives of financial institutions and government agencies of Russia, CIS and European countries. 

Reports made by participants in the forum and associated discussions summarized the results of their leasing activities in 2007, topical issues relevant to the market of leasing services were addressed, and perspective plans for years to come were outlined. 

At the forum, Anton Borisevich, OAO VTB-Leasing Director General, made its presentation entitled “Choosing a Corporate Strategy, Policy in Regions, Organization and Management of Separate Subdivisions”. The presentation also covered some aspects of corporate governance, operations in regions and CIS countries, as well as achievements of OAO VTB-Leasing, Russia’ biggest leasing company, over the last 5 years. Behind the scenes of the event, A. Borisevich answered a lot of questions concerning the VTB Group’s activities, some aspects of its leasing activities, outlooks for collaboration with enterprises of diverse industries. Arrangements on such collaboration were concluded with a number of companies as a result of the above contacts.
